Claim your free swimming ticket for the whole family

KEEPING your children entertained as summer approaches has just got much easier.

Swale Council has teamed up with Eastern and Coastal Kent NHS Primary Care Trust, which donated £40,000 to offer every schoolchild a voucher for a free swim.

Three pools, Faversham, Swallows in Sittingbourne and Sheerness, are participating in the scheme.

Vouchers have either been given out already or will be given out shortly at your child’s school, and must be used between May 3 and July 17.

Pupils at Rose Street School in Sheerness received their vouchers on April 5.

Rose Street School’s secretary Susan Gulliver said: “It is obviously expensive to take a whole family swimming.

“It allows a family of four to get in for free, so it is a big help to our parents when they are trying to entertain their children over the holiday.”
