I can remember the dark days before the prince of india opened, when eating indian food in the town's resturants was not an inspiring experience. This establishment with it's friendly, can-do approach to customer satisfaction has meant that the competition has had raise their game. A win win for all.
I know of a number of chef's in the town who proclaim the prince to be their preferred indian resturant.
If you haven't tried it yet then you really are missing out. As for their many awards, are i think you will find them to be well deserved.
if you want something special try the kulsi lamb, a leg of lamb marinaded for 2 days and cooked to perfection (order in advance)
I have also beenhad the chance to visit the kitchen, when my daughter had cooking lessons there, and was very impressed by the standards of cleanliness.
I hav yet to be disappointed.
I have eaten at the Prince many times and must say it is one of the best around. Great food, great service and the prices are really reasonable.

From entrance you and your fellow diners are important guests. Food is cooked to just what heat and strength of spices you have asked for. I have used restaurant and home delivery often and have never been disappointed with the food or service. Management organize staff to be as attentive as you want. No one hovers over you if closing time is close nor do they look at early diners like they have caused the start of a days work! I have eaten in the restaurant when all covers have been taken and have never felt like a sardine: I would rather have a Bombay duck! Joking aside, If you have any special food requests then a few days notice will generally produce the goods tasting just like when you were on holiday.
