The Railway Hotel is always a winner with me: it is well staffed, serves an excellent pint of Master Brew, and, of course, is very handily placed for a quick dash to or from the station. There was a very tempting smell of steak frying wafting from the kitchen on a recent visit, I must give the restaurant a try!

"We are not as cheap as Wetherspoons" reads the banner on the town side of this elegant pub at the top of Preston Street, just across the road from Faversham train station. Not as cheap, maybe, but a whole lot more individual, with well-kept Shepherd Neame beer, a godsend for thirsty commuters unwinding after a stressful day in Town!
