contact usUnisex hairdressers Icon (formerly McKenzie Kent) have just moved to larger premises at 5 Market Place, allowing them to employ an extra stylist. The newly decorated salon is bright and fresh, painted in white and black with apple green. Contemporary music plays in the background but is not aggressively loud and the stylists have a pleasantly informal manner. With its relaxed atmosphere, male and female stylists and mix of trendy and traditional, Icon should appeal to a wide range of clientele. Very reasonable prices too, with a cut and blow-dry starting at £19.

The launch of ICON Faversham under the new partnership of Lynn Kent and Kevin Jones has already been recognised as an award winning salon. Senior stylist, Paul Kent gained a first place at a competition held at The Lees Cliff Hall, Folkestone. Paul's entry demonstrated his outstanding skills in cutting, styling, colouring and hair tattoing. We continue to pride ourselves on the outstanding quality of work. Client care is, as always, of paramount importance to us, whilst our pricing structure remains affordable, without the need to introduce temporary offers.
We are also very fortunate to benefit from the skills and knowledge of senior stylist, Carly Kent. Carly is a member of the college of Trichology. 'Trichology' is the study of the sciences concerning the human hair and scalp. She is currently in the final year of her studies, and upon completion will become a practitioner competent in identifying, diagnosing and treating hair and scalp disorders such as hair loss and alopecia. 'Trichology' is a specialised profession and there are currently only two registered members in the South East. Carly has received recognition from 'The Trichological Society' and her essay on Trichotillomania has been published on 'The Trichological Society' website.
Carly also has awareness, through her studies, of new products that become available and the problems that they can and do cause. As a result of this, and as a caring salon, we do not always offer services that are otherwise available elsewhere. We also require that clients undertake skin tests prior to receiving a colour service, in accordance with the guidelines stated by the manufacturer of the product.
Paul and Carly are complimented by Joe, Sian and Tina. Our dedicated and committed team of staff.
Also we have another hairdressers in Whitstable; please see our profile on WHITSTABLEPEOPLE.CO.UK
