Dude, where's my bridge?

As seasoned Faversham dog walkers

will know, there’s a lovely walk up the creek, turn right along by the

chestnut wood and across a meadow to the marshy scrub of the Abbey

But now, a farmer has removed the bridge which joined the meadow and scrubland. Now it does seem from the Ordnance Survey site that there is a public footpath, but only on the scrubland side.

Does anyone know moe about this or the legality of removing this bridge?
