There’s nothing quite like going to the movies. The smell of popcorn, the plush seats and the big screen. Even the trailers add to the fun. So if you’re looking for an excuse to go and see a film, we may just have one...

Our friends at wowcher.co.uk  have got their hands on 5,000 Odeon cinema tickets and if you would like one then it couldn’t be simpler. All you have to do is sign up to their site.

The earlier you sign up the earlier you’ll be notified the ticket has been released. All you have to pay is £1 for an administration charge and then you can plan when to head off to your local Odeon in Canterbury.

Next comes the hard bit... deciding what to see. Some of the year’s biggest and most anticipated films are being released in the next few weeks, top of which has to be Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. Starring Johnny Depp as the inimitable Captain Jack Sparrow alongside Penelope Cruz, Judi Dench and Geoffrey Rush, the fourth film in the smash-hit series is one not to miss.

If that doesn’t float your boat (ouch!) then there’s plenty more to choose from: Eric Bana and Cate Blanchett star in Hanna, an action thriller about a girl who was raised to be the perfect assassin. If romantic comedies are more your thing then you may want to check out Something Borrowed. Kate Hudson stars as a top New York attorney in search of the perfect man.

So what are you waiting for? All you have to do is click to sign up to wowcher.co.ukand  you could be watching this summer’s blockbuster for free!

Only one ticket is available per person, so if your friends and family want to take advantage of the deal they’ll need to sign up too. Tickets are only valid at Odeon cinemas. You can find all the contact details of your local Odeon cinema in theCanterbury People business directory here.
