Faversham Film Society presents Win Win (2011, 106 minutes, certificate 15) on the big screen at the Royal Cinema in Middle Row, off the Market Place, Faversham, at 8pm prompt on Monday February 27.
Win Win is an American sports comedy-drama directed by Thomas McCarthy; see Rotten Tomatoes for a comprehensive assessment of the highly rated film: http://tinyurl.com/3bbgump
The film society shows about 24 films a year, always on a Monday night at 8pm. It aims to show the best of modern British, American independent and world cinema – films that aren't normally shown much outside London – and from time to time also shows classic films, especially if they have been issued in a new print.
Non-members can turn up and buy a ticket and all are welcome.
Membership for a year (September to August) costs £4. For this, members receive programmes three times a year giving dates and details of the films to be shown. Detailed film notes are available free from the cinema at each viewing. For more information on the film society see http://tinyurl.com/7x88za5 – to join, click on "contact" and download the membership form – or call 01795 536784.
