Courses run by the Faversham branch of the Workers' Educational Association start next week (the first one is on Monday January 16). Here's a summary of what's on offer.
• Water under the Bridge, with Peter Coborn: The study of five British rivers, their settlements over the centuries and their impact on the local area, transport and communities.
Venue: Alexander Centre, Preston Street, Faversham. Mondays, 7.30 to 9.30pm, from January 16. Five meetings (C3730743), £39.50.
• The art of sketching and drawing in monochrome with Maggie Roberts. Venue: Fleur de Lis Hall, Gatefield Lane, Preston Street, Faversham. Wednesdays, 10am to noon, from January 18. Eight meetings (C3731352), £63.20.
• Working Kent Women, with Alyss Dye: Explore the working lives of Kent women over the past 200 years. Venue: Fleur de Lis Hall, Gatefield Lane, Preston Street, Faversham.
