There may be gloom and despondency on the High Streets and in the City, but end of year figures indicate that the Fleur de Lis Heritage Centre has again achieved an increase in the number of visitors to the Centre this year.
Numbers visiting the museum increased by 20% on 2010, and to the Gallery by a staggering 30%. Chairman Jenny Parry put this down not only to the fact that people are increasingly staying home for their holidays and visiting local attractions, but also to the range and quality of exhibits at the Centre.
