Tammay Creations at Faversham market: Charlotte at the stall
Flowers…
Yes, there must be flowers! A last-minute dash for some bedraggled petrol-station leftovers really doesn't cut it, chaps: you need a FLORIST. Fortunately, Faversham has some!
Tammay Creations, Creek Creative, East Street
Based at Creek Creative's East Street studio, Tammay Creations offers contemporary floristry at affordable prices. Tammay's Charlotte May says: "Its lovely to be given a dozen red roses on Valentine's Day, but don't forget you don't have to have roses. There are lots of alternatives: just ask!"
Take a look at Charlotte's blog for some great ideas for Valentine's gifts and drop her an email or give her a call. She's also running a stall on the market on Fridays and Saturdays – well worth a look for some imaginative gifts. And take a look at Tammay Creations' Faversham People directory page: there's a voucher for 10 per cent off Valentine's bouquets which you can print off.
Malledens, Preston Street: Interflora florist opened in 2011.
Collins, Market Street: Long-established Faversham florist.
Flowerart, Brogdale: bespoke flowers and more in Brogdale's market-place courtyard.
A card…
If you want to avoid schmaltz, you'll need to have a look in Creek Creative's shop or Faversham Frames. If you're after the full hearts-and-flowers routine, try Cards Galore, Presentimes, or Forget Me Not.
…and a bottle of bubbly
Prosecco, cava, champagne: if you want to share a little sparkle with your Valentine, take a look at the fizz at Hercules Wine Warehouse, next door to Macknade Fine Foods off the Selling Road. There's lots to choose from – and it's way better than going to Tesco!
