Faversham Town v Corinthian Casuals: how the teams lined up
As the Salters Lane faithful sheltered in the stands, the match was played in continuous drizzle and the pitch was not conducive to sparkling football; yet there were eye-catching touches from both sides amid the muddy hustle-bustle.
Corinthian Casuals clinched the three points in the second half with two breakaway goals in quick succession from Jamie Byatt (59 minutes) and Ross Defoe (61 minutes), ending a good period of pressure from Faversham.
The Lilywhites continued to create chances in a decent performance but failed to make any count, Adrian Stone going closest with a "goal" chalked off for offside.
Sponsor John A Barrett gas services' man-of-the-match award went to Bola Dawodu for another enterprising performance on the right of the Lilywhites defence.
