The temperature has dropped, affected by cold air from a high-pressure weather system centred on Siberia, and it is likely to get chillier during the week, according to the Met Office.

Snow flurries are predicted for east Kent, but not in laying quantities. However, there will be frosts and freezing mist and fog patches are likely this week, and the Met Office has issued a yellow ("be aware") warning of ice for tonight: "Scattered light sleet and snow showers together with freezing temperatures will increase the risk of icy patches forming, especially on untreated surfaces.
"The public are advised to be aware that extra care is needed, especially when travelling."

I reckon it'll skirt round us as it so often does. I'm always vaguely amused by the hysteria surrounding snow. I've noticed the council have already started gritting round the town in the last few days. I hope it isn't wasted if we get a real downfall before Easter.
